Dress Code

Students are strongly encouraged to do their part to help to promote a positive atmosphere. 

  • **NO IMPROPER EXPOSURE

    • All coats, jackets, hoodies, sweatshirts and shirts will be appropriate for a school environment.

    • No clothing items shall allow for the exposure of cleavage or torsos [area from the collarbone/neck area to the natural waistline]. Sheer, flesh-toned and mesh materials are inappropriate for the school environment.

    • Shirts or tops that have been altered or tied in a knot in the back are not school-appropriate.

    • All graphics and images on any clothing shall be school and age-appropriate and not project images or messages that are obviously or subliminally lewd, intimidating, threatening, demeaning or offensive to any person or group

  • **NO SAGGING

    • All students shall wear belts that hold the pants up and gym pants that have drawstrings that keep pants up on the natural waistline so that undergarments are not visible standing or seated

    • Pants, dresses and shorts must be correct size to fit upon the natural waist 

    • Skinny or fitted clothing such as jeans, pants, dresses or shorts will fit on the natural waist.

    • Appropriate length of shorts and dresses is one middle finger length from the top of knees while standing upright and covers the individual completely (360°) without the use of an outer garment

  • NOT TO BE WORN AT SCHOOL: 

    • Bedroom pants or shorts, lounge pants with graphic prints as the primary fabric

    • No graphics or wording across the front or rear of pants

    • Jeans with holes 

    • Tights or leggings even with long outer garments.

    • Mini-dresses or mini-skirts, skorts, biker shorts,

    • NO FORM OF HEAD COVERINGS are to be worn inside of the building or the bus (unless the driver permits). Masks will be checked for “pouching”

    • NO BEDROOM STYLED SLIPPERS- Students may only wear Crocs, slides, or sneakers.
